About
Bugs & Sparks is a Cape Town-based property services and compliance business established in November 2007. The company provides professional services to residential, commercial and property-sector clients, with an emphasis on quality workmanship, reliable service and compliance.
Bugs & Sparks was founded by Craig Louw, a qualified electrician with additional qualifications in information technology, including Novell CNE and Compaq ASE certifications. His professional interests also extended to aviation, where he qualified as both a fixed-wing and helicopter pilot.
The business initially operated as a small electrical contracting company, with Craig Louw and one assistant. A focus on punctuality, reliability, technical capability and customer service helped establish the company within the local market and provided the foundation for subsequent growth.
In February 2010, Craig Ford joined Bugs & Sparks as a new partner. Following Craig Louw’s emigration to Australia in 2012, the partnership was subsequently dissolved, with Craig Ford becoming the sole owner of Bugs & Sparks. Under his ownership, the company continued to develop its service offering and operational capacity.
Today, Bugs & Sparks operates primarily across the greater Cape Town region, extending into surrounding areas including the West Coast and Somerset West. The company’s work encompasses property-related electrical and compliance services, supported by additional capabilities developed through its partnership with Express Holdings.
