Compliance Certificates in Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl

Selling or letting a property in the Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl? Bugs & Sparks issues every compliance certificate a transfer needs – in one booking.

Sea Point, Green Point, Mouille Point, Camps Bay, Gardens, Tamboerskloof and the CBD are mostly apartments, older houses and mixed-use buildings. We work with body corporates, managing agents and owners on access and timing for sectional-title units.

Certificates we issue in Atlantic Seaboard & City Bowl

How it works

  • Instruct us online – you, your agent or your conveyancer.
  • One inspection visit for every certificate the sale needs.
  • A clear report and a quote for anything that fails.
  • Repairs and certificates – we keep the agent and conveyancer updated so transfer is not held up.

Part of Express Holdings since 2007

Bugs & Sparks is part of the Express Holdings group. If an inspection finds work to do, our sister companies – Express Electrical, Express Plumbing, Express LP Gas and Express Pest Control – can do the repairs, so you deal with one team from inspection to certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Which certificates does a seller need?

An electrical COC is required for every transfer. A gas COC is needed if there is a gas installation, an electric fence COC if there is an electric fence, and in Cape Town a plumbing (water) certificate. A beetle certificate is usually a condition of the sale agreement. Your conveyancer will confirm what your sale needs.

Who instructs the inspection?

The seller, the estate agent or the conveyancer can instruct us. We send the certificates to whoever needs them.
